Once your cruise ship has docked in Roatan, you will meet your guide at a convenient location right outside of your Roatan pier. Board your comfortable transportation and head towards the Central Park of Coxen Hole, which is the largest city on the island of Roatan. Spend a few minutes in Central Park, where you can buy fresh fruit and chat with locals. Hop back on the transportation and take off for Spanish Town, where you will stop at the famous Hill Top View. This site is 800 feet above sea level and offers a bird's eye view of the island. Do not forget your camera! Next, we go to Sandy Bay, one of the most picturesque beaches in all of Roatan. Finally, you will arrive in West End for a little bit of shopping and time for a snack before snorkeling.
Board your boat and gear up with the provided snorkel gear as the guide gives you a snorkel briefing. Depending on weather conditions you will spend approx. 50 minutes at one of the following sites: Turtle Crossing, Blue Channel or Shallow Sea Quest. Once at the site, the guide will assist you into the gear and into the water. The guide will point out fish and sea creatures to you, keep your eyes peeled for eels, rays, glassy sweepers, pufferfish, and anemones, as well as soft and hard corals of all colors. If you are lucky you may even snorkel with turtles! After your snorkeling time, you will return to West End where you will have approximately 2.5 hours to relax, eat, shop, enjoy beach time, and much more.
After your great snorkeling experience, you're sure to have worked up an appetite. There are many restaurants and beach bars, something for everyone's taste (lunch and beverages are at your own expense). There are kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, jet skis, and other water activities available should you be interested (cost, payment, and reservations are made directly with independent vendors). After you have had your share of fun in the sun you will again board your air-conditioned transportation and return directly back to your Roatan cruise ship pier.
Explore the best Roatan has to offer. By land, visit Central Park in Coxen Hole and have an amazing view of the island in the Spanish Town. Visit a small village in Sandy Bay and then you'll have plenty of time to snorkel and explore the underwater life. You will also have the chance to relax at one of the most popular Beaches in Roatan.
