Horseback riding in the jungle and onto the beach as well as seeing some of Roatan's best sites and the chance to get your shopping done during the Roatan Sightseeing, Shopping, and Jungle Horseback Riding Excursion. Check out Central Park of Coxen Hole, while buying fruit and souvenirs from locals. See the quaint fishing village of French Harbor and see the incredible views of First Bight as you shop some more. Ride horses on jungle trails and learn about the wildlife and plants native to the island. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean before being brought directly back to the pier.
Once your cruise ship has docked in Roatan you will meet your guide at a convenient location right outside of the pier. Board your comfortable transportation and head towards the Central Park of Coxen Hole, which is the largest city on the island of Roatan. All of the main administrative buildings are found in Coxen Hole. Spend a few minutes in Central Park, where you can buy fresh fruit and chat with locals. Hop back on the transportation and take off to the east towards French Harbor. The island's second-largest fishing village, French Harbor gives you a unique look into a Roatanian's everyday life.
Continue heading East towards First Blight, where you will stop for another photo opportunity and the chance to shop at a beautiful viewpoint in the hills overlooking First Bight. Buy souvenirs from some locals, and then, once you are ready to continue you will head to the camp where your knowledgeable local guides will greet you. They will introduce you to the horses and get you saddled up before you are off on your jungle adventure!
Thanks to your native guide's trained eye, you will learn about the local flora and fauna as you ride on your horse through the jungle trails. After about 45 minutes of trail riding, you will finally emerge at the seaside, where you will have the chance to walk your horse in the shallow water. You will then dismount from your horse and have the opportunity to take a swim to cool off yourself, or just enjoy the seaside on foot. The beach is located at the Parrot Tree Plantation Resort, depending on your cruise ship schedule, you can ask your guide for extra time at the beach.
After this great adventure, you will again board the transportation, after which you will return to your Roatan cruise ship pier.
