Your English-speaking caving guide will meet you at your Belize City tender terminal and take you on a panoramic 60-minute ride through the lush countryside of Belize.
On arrival at the base camp near Crystal Cave, your experienced guide will provide you with the spelunking and tubing equipment - life vest, helmet, headlamp, and tube - as well as a short safety briefing and how to get the most out of your excursion. Note that the tubing portion is slow-paced, not rapid-moving water.
You will start with a brief hike to one of Crystal Cave's entrances. You will soon see where this amazing cave gets its name! As you calmly float into the first chamber, you will turn on your headlamp and look up and see high ceilings and stalactite-lined walls illuminated in your light. For a split second, you may think you are in a cathedral instead of a river-fed cave. As you continue through the cavern, you will pass enormous boulders rising up from the riverbed.
You will arrive at a small waterfall, where your guide will help you cross over into another chamber, the Crystal Chamber. Wonder at the breathtaking crystal-encrusted cave formations and discover the beautiful "frozen waterfall". Have your waterproof camera ready at all times!
Then enjoy your continued cave tubing through the underground lagoon featuring a tiny waterfall where the caves open up to daylight. After your incredible adventure, you'll be treated to a typical Belizean lunch of rice and beans with stewed chicken and coleslaw with a soft drink or fruit punch to refresh! Just sit and relax tasting the Belize flavors to regain your energy!
At the end of this unique crystal cave exploration and tubing in Belize, your shore excursion guide will take you back to your Belize City cruise ship tender terminal.
Where we meet
For the Belize Crystal Cave Exploration and River Tubing Excursion, you will meet right at your Belize cruise tender terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Belize Crystal Cave Exploration and River Tubing Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
