Your adventure begins in rare fashion as your professionally certified guide meets you inside your Puerto Limon pier and close to the ship. You will be escorted to your modern, deluxe, air-conditioned transportation for a tranquil sojourn through the Costa Rican countryside to your river rafting destination - Reventazon River.
Here you will be fitted with life jackets and paddles to prepare for your whitewater rafting adventure. Quality equipment and an expert guide will ensure your safety throughout this fun adventure on one of the famous and picturesque rivers in the country. With true river gorges, most are flanked by steep, green walls provides a safe experience for beginners while challenging more experienced paddlers. The crystalline waters flow over waterfalls while colorful, tropical birds fly right over your head. Your time on the river is approximately 2.5 hours. Downstream you will pull over on the banks to continue your excursion.
As you trek through this undeveloped tropical rainforest keep watch as an abundance of wildlife including sloth, toucans, parrots, coatis, morpho butterflies, and colorful frogs may come into view. You will also feast on a freshly prepared picnic lunch in a gorgeous clearing on the river bank. Some of the options include tortillas, fried beans, salad, guacamole, turkey ham, pork ham, cheese, chips, seasonal fruit, etc. You will have approximately 1 hour to rest and enjoy lunch.
