Your unforgettable day begins in Kotor. After meeting your professional guide, you'll board your comfortable boat for a short, twenty-minute ride to Our Lady of the Rocks, an impressive man-made islet where you can visit the church. The chapel, built in 1630, features a stunning Baroque design and houses a museum with a rich collection of stone monuments. According to legend, the islet was created over centuries by local sailors who, in 1452, discovered an icon of Madonna and Child on a rock in the sea. Today, Our Lady of the Rocks serves as the protector of all sailors who visit Boka Bay. The entrance fee to Lady of the Rocks is not included, the approximate cost is about 1.5 euros per person.
Your next stop is Perast, a charming town located close to the islet. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Perast boasts beautiful Baroque architecture, ancient palaces, Catholic churches, and defensive towers that transport you back in time. The town’s history dates to the 15th century, when the Ottoman Empire and Venetian Republic shared control of the Bay of Kotor, with the local population protecting Venetian territory. Today, Perast is one of the best-preserved examples of Baroque architecture on the Adriatic coast. During your 40-minute stop, you'll have the chance to explore this picturesque town or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many local restaurants.
