A fun and fast boat ride! Snorkel in the most amazing underwater world, famous Sculpture Park and explore picturesque bays and coves off the coast of Grenada.
Your friendly English speaking Grenada Powerboat and Snorkel Excursion guide will meet you inside the Grenada Cruise Terminal building and lead you to the dock where your experienced captain and crew will welcome you onboard the powerboat. These are rigid hull inflatable boats (RIBs) similar to Zodiac boats and can ride the waves like no other boat can!
The powerboat has 12 comfortable jockey saddle-type seats to ensure the best sightseeing vantage point for each passenger. Once you are ready to depart, the route will take you along the coastline past Dragon Bay, Black Bay, the Lagoon and Carnage. The powerboat shore excursion crew will narrate as you pass each site and explain the geography, history and ecology of this amazing Caribbean island. The powerboat ride will be fast and fun and the handrail in front of you make it easy to hold on safely.
Then this Grenada Excursion will continue to the marine protected area in Moliniere Bay, where the famous Sculpture Park is located. Blended within the reef, the concrete sculptures are creating an artificial reef blending mother nature and contemporary life. The marine life loves it! The most recognized pieces are The Children Holding Hands (Vicissitudes), the Cyclist, the Christ of the Deep, Grace Reef among dozens of others. The sculptures rest on the bottom between 10 to 24 feet underwater.
The PADI certified shore excursion crew will equip you with fins, mask and snorkel and provide a brief explanation on how to make the most of this snorkel part of the excursion. Inflatable snorkel vests are available if you would like to use. Snorkelers may stay on the surface enjoying the sites or take a breath and dive down below to get a better look at the sculptures. If you prefer not to snorkel, you can just stay onboard the powerboat. The crystal clear water of Grenada will allow you to observe some of the shapes and marine life from the boat.
During the 30-minute snorkel activity, you will see the most of the amazing sculptures and diverse colorful fish and corals.
At the end of your Grenada Powerboat and Snorkel Cruise Excursion, the guide will lead you back on the boat which will then head back to your Grenada St. Georges cruise ship port. Your captain and crew will drop you off back in your Grenada Cruise Terminal dock after a fun and educational Grenada Powerboat and Underwater Park Snorkeling Shore Excursion.
