Just yards from your cruise ship pier in Grand Turk, your friendly snorkeling shore excursion staff will be waiting for you to get checked in. Then you will be taken by snorkel boat to the nearby shallow coral reef to see some of the incredible marine life.

The Grand Turk Marine Park snorkel excursion guide will hand out the snorkel gear, show first-time snorkelers how to use it, and give all guests safety information. Supervision at all times is provided by your shore excursion staff. The water is clear and warm, making it almost perfect for snorkeling and the shallow reef allows guests to see the fish up close. There are numerous colorful fish, corals, and sponges that guests might see. Snorkelers may even get to see some friendly, docile marine residents of the reef - the nurse sharks.

These marine creatures are not to fear as they look like big catfish and act more like cats who enjoy a good scratch on the belly. The snorkel shore excursion guide will assist those guests who might want to pet one. This is a unique snorkel cruise excursion experience in Grand Turk!

The snorkeling shore excursion boat will then take guests next to the drop-off or wall where schools of fish tend to gather. The snorkel guide will assist guests at both sites. Time spent at each marine park snorkel excursion site is approximately 45 minutes. Snorkel gear is provided (mask, fins, snorkel, and flotation vest) but guests are welcome to bring their own snorkel equipment.

Note that guests must know how to swim as neither snorkel excursion location is not shallow enough to stand up.

Bottled water is provided. When your Grand Turk snorkel adventure comes to an end, the Marine Park Snorkel Excursion boat and guide will take you back to the beach meeting point. Guests may choose to make their way back to their cruise ship pier at their leisure.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear your swimsuit under comfortable clothes, bring a towel, sun protection, a camera, cash for tips, etc.
  
• There is a maximum of 17 guests on the boat per departure. For larger groups, please contact us.

Excursion Restrictions

• This excursion is not wheelchair accessible.
• Guests should know how to swim as the snorkeling portion is from a boat and guests cannot touch the bottom of the ocean while snorkeling.
• The minimum participation age is 3 years old.
• Children may not be left on the boat unattended.
• There is limited shade on the boat and no restrooms onboard.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
