The meeting point for your snorkel excursion is a short distance from any of the cruise ship piers. The Villa Blanca Reef at Sunset Beach is a great place for beginners and experts alike due to the variety of life beneath the waves. The depth varies from 3 to 20 feet and has an easy shore entry. You'll be able to see fish such as angelfish, jacks, black grouper, moray eels, and squirrelfish included in the hundreds of varieties that call the reef home. Among the coral, you can spy varieties of sponges and sea fans of stunning colors and shapes.

This guided excursion is led by PADI-certified dive guides who will give you detailed instructions on your equipment and the proper way to use it to get the best experience. Entering and exiting is easy with a staircase in the water. Bring an underwater camera to capture this breathtaking experience.

After your snorkel, you can enjoy a Mexican lunch with choices such as Chicken Fajitas, Fish Ceviche, or Quesadillas. Also included are 2 drinks, alcoholic or non-alcoholic (Mexican Beer, Water, or Soft Drink). Additional food and drinks can be purchased at the restaurant in the beach club.

Once your snorkel and lunch excursion is over, you are welcome to stay and enjoy Sunset Beach Club and leave at any time, the beach club is open from 08:00 AM to 08:00 PM. You may walk or take a taxi back at your leisure and expense when you are ready.

Excursion Notes

• We suggest you wear a swimsuit, bring a towel, sun protection, cash for additional food/beverages, tips, etc.
• Lockers are available for rent - $3.00 USD.
  
• The snorkeling is done from shore, no boats are used.
• Please be advised the shore area is rocky, this particular site does not have a sandy beach.

Where we meet

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum age to participate is 5 years old.
• Guests should know basic swimming skills.
• Parents are responsible for watching their children.
• Note that snorkeling is from shore and there is no wheelchair access.
• Pregnant women, and people with epilepsy, asthma, heart conditions, or limited mobility need to check with their doctor if it is safe to participate in snorkeling.
• People under the influence of alcohol may not participate in this activity, no refunds will be granted in this situation.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
