Spend the day at a sunny beach club on your stop at Mahahual in Costa Maya. The Ibiza Sunset Beach Club is the perfect place to unwind and relax next to the beautiful Caribbean and enjoy snorkeling.

You will meet directly at the Ibiza Sunset Beach Club (only a 4-minute ride distance!). Here you can use the beach chairs, loungers, beach umbrellas, restrooms, and showers.

The boat departs from the beach club every hour and a half right on the beach so you can choose the best available time. The groups are small with a maximum of 12 people. You'll reach the reef in about 15 minutes and have approximately 40 minutes of guided snorkeling.

The reef here is rich in marine diversity and is a breeding ground for many species of tropical fish, nesting turtles, Eagle rays, eels, and lobsters. You'll likely see many species of marine life on your excursion. The coral reef is alive with a variety of colors and shapes. Note that the snorkeling is done from the boat, in deep water where you will not be able to touch the bottom so it is mandatory that guests know how to swim.

At the beach club, you'll have 2 hours of unlimited open bar and one choice of snack from the menu. The club is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM so you can stay as long as you like and taxis are available to take you back to your Costa Maya cruise port when you're ready. Additional food and drinks can also be purchased. Beach chairs, tables, umbrellas, and loungers are first-to-come-first-sit. There are beach activities and water sports available for an additional cost - reservations, and pricing are available directly at the beach. 

Snacks - chips and salsa, onion rings, and French Fries. 

Main Dishes - chicken fingers, cheeseburger, grilled cheese sandwich, fish and chips, quesadillas (plain, chicken or beef), fish ceviche, burrito (chicken or beef), chicken fajitas, Cesar or green salad, tacos (chicken or beef), or fish tacos.

Open Bar - Mexican beers, Mai Tai, Long Island Ice Tea, Vodka Tonic, Tequila Sunrise, Screw Driver, Cuba Libre, Rum Punch, Margarita, Electric Lemonade, soft drinks, and bottled water.

Excursion Notes

• Bring along a swimsuit, towel, sunblock, camera, and cash for additional services.
• The minimum age for alcohol consumption is 18 years old.
• Not available on Sundays

Where we meet

For the Costa Maya Reef Snorkeling and Ibiza Sunset Beach Day Pass Excursion, you will meet one block away from the Costa Maya cruise ship terminal. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• Underage participants for snorkeling must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
• The minimum participation age is 10 years old.
• Pregnant women, people with epilepsy, asthma, heart conditions, or limited mobility need to check with their doctor if it is safe to participate in snorkeling.
• Access in and out of the boat is via a metal ladder.
• Guests must know how to swim and be comfortable in the water.
• People under the influence of alcohol may not participate in this activity, no refunds will be granted in this situation.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• You want to cancel at any time, for any reason, before or after your arrival. Simply contact us via email reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com within 14 days of your missed excursion date for a deposit refund.
• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location.
• Your ship misses/skips the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator to run the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the tour operator or guest may send doctor's note).
  
• Cancellations that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund. Guests must notify us within 14 days after their excursion date via email for requesting a refund of booking payment made to Shore Excursioneer.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
