Your private deep-sea fishing boat charter excursion will be waiting for you just a short distance from your Costa Maya cruise ship pier. Your captain is a Costa Maya native fisherman with numerous years of experience. He will take you to where the locals fish in a local-style open panga boat.
Mahahual (Costa Maya) was a sleepy little fishing village before the cruise ships recently began stopping by and it still retains its charm and great fishing. This area is virtually untouched so both the reef system and the marine life in the waters around it make it a paradise for sport fishermen. The crystal blue waters make it a haven for those looking to do deep sea and bottom fishing. Species that may be caught include Mahi Mahi, Dorado, Wahoo, Barracuda, Snapper, and much more.
This is your private excursion for the day. Your experienced crew will assist you and you can participate in each step. Please note that trolling-style fishing is used where the boat is in constant motion. The guest does not take over the rod until the hook is set. You choose how many friends to take with you - the boat holds up to 4 participants.
You may take any catch back to the beach and have it prepared in any of the local beach restaurants for a flat charge.
