Your fun walking excursion along the Freedom Trail begins at a centrally located meeting point in Boston Common. This is a great excursion for those in Boston either before or after their cruise, those just visiting the city on vacation or for those arriving for the day in port. This excursion is one of New England's most applauded and popular historic excursions, the Freedom Trail Foundations welcomes you to explore this path through history. Led by friendly, knowledgeable 18th century costumed guides, a 90-minute Walk Into History is a wonderful way to experience the Freedom Trail. The mix of fun, humor and history provides a hands-on experience that will make you feel as if you are actually living the days of the Revolution.
The walk is a leisurely paced, 90 minute guided excursion that will take you by 16 of the best known and significant national landmarks. The Freedom Trail and the City of Boston create a backdrop like no other for exploring the rich history of the brave people and key events that led to the American Revolution, the momentous break from Great Britain and the subsequent shaping of American republic.

When your Freedom Trail walk is completed, you are free to continue to explore on your own or head back to your cruise ship or hotel.
A voucher will be sent in a separate email than your e-ticket. Please read the voucher for any special information or requirements. This voucher must be printed and present it to the local operator. Without the voucher in hand, you will not be allowed to do the excursion.
Where we meet
For the Boston Freedom Trail Walking Excursion, you will meet at the Boston Common. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.
Cancellation
For the Boston Freedom Trail Walking Excursion, we issue full refund for your deposit or full payment to us if: Canceled by client prior to excursion date with a minimum of 24 hours prior notice by email to reservations@shoreexcursioneer.com.
For cancellation reasons below, you must contact us via email within 14 days after your excursion:
- Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
- Your ship skips/misses the port.
- Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
- A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
- Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
- Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
