The island of San Pedro is just a 15-minute flight from Belize City municipal airport. From your cruise pier in Belize City, you will take a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the airport. All flight arrangements are made for you and included in the cost of the excursion! Your professional staff will greet you when the plane lands in Ambergris Caye located on the island of San Pedro and your diving adventure will begin. You will have the pleasure of experiencing the fantastic reef just off the shore. The reef wraps around creating a sort of lagoon-like condition between the dive sites and the shoreline. After being checked in at the dive center, and receiving your gear and instructions from your PADI-certified and highly trained staff, the boat will take you out just a very short distance to your first dive site.

After the boat ties off on the mooring line, your dive master will lead you into the stunning underwater marvel below. There are tunnels to swim through, canyons to glide over not to mention the non-stop parade of marine life! You might spot sea turtles, parrot fish, angelfish, crabs, lobsters, rays, corals and sponges, and maybe a resident shark. No worries, your dive master will be watching over you the entire time.

After your first dive and making sure everyone is on board, your dive master will take requests on your next dive site. The dive master's decision will be made according to the group's experience and the water conditions that day. Regardless of where it is, it will be nothing less than fabulous!

When you return to the dive center, you will have the choice of returning immediately to the airport to catch the flight back to Belize City or with time permitting, grabbing some lunch in Ambergris Caye and just catch the next flight. The flights go back and forth every hour! The staff will make sure that you are back on the ship in time.

If you miss your assigned flight, the airline will notify the dive shop. If the ship was late, you will not need to pay for the ticket for the next flight. Flights are leaving Belize City at 08:30 AM and 09:30 AM local time.

What is included?

• All necessary SCUBA diving equipment including fins, mask, snorkel, weight belt, BCD, and tank. There is an opportunity to rent a wet suit, however, it is not needed due to the high water temperature throughout the year.

Excursion Notes

• Please download and print the following PADI SCUBA Dive Medical Statement (PDF document) and complete it prior to participation. It is required that you bring this completed form and any other required notes or paperwork.
• All SCUBA Divers must present a valid SCUBA Diving Certification card upon arrival.
• We suggest you bring your swimsuit, towel, sun protection, cash for additional purchases, tips, etc.
• 1 tank dive takes about 1.5 hours, 2 tank dive about 3 hours.
  
• Please note that not all of the boats have a marine toilet onboard.
• Please pay attention to the restrictions and requirements for this excursion; no refund will be granted if the requirements are not met.

Where we meet

For this Belize 2 Tank SCUBA Dive Excursion at Ambergris Caye, you will meet at the Belize Municipal Airport, just a 5 to 10-minute taxi ride from your Belize cruise terminal. Taxi fare is approximately $2.50 USD per taxi. All necessary details will be printed on your Electronic Shore Excursion Ticket.

Excursion Restrictions

• The minimum participation age is 10 years old.
• All SCUBA Divers must present a valid SCUBA Diving Certification card upon arrival.

Excursion FAQ

Cancellation

• Your ship arrives into port late and you cannot make it in time to the meeting location (we will verify with the tour operator).
• Your ship skips/misses the port.
• Weather conditions or equipment failure prevents the operator from running the excursion.
• A medical problem prevents you from safely participating in the excursion (we will verify with the excursion operator and the guest may send doctor's note). This applies to individuals only and not the remainder of the group.
  
• Cancellations/deposit refund requests that do not comply with the above may not be subject to refund.
• Refunds may be subject to a service charge fee as determined by the payment processor, please refer to Terms and Conditions for more information.
